David Bowie's Young American album was one of 2 albums I received at about 12 years old, and caused me to fall in love with music. Bowie's music sounds as fresh today as when it was originally recorded. He was innovative, gender-bending, philanthropic and over-the-top creative. This was completed over his birthday week, which was also the week of his death.
