ARTIST STATEMENT
I am a mixed-media artist working with India ink, acrylic paint, pastels, rice paper, charcoal, and various mark-making tools. As I have evolved as an artist, experimentation has become primary, and the fear of making a mistake has fallen away.
My current body of work focuses on the spontaneity of discovery through India ink – splattering, pouring, splashing, dripping, and working with the ink to develop the final piece.
