People have nightmares about my paintings sometimes. It pleases me enormously.

Artist Statement
Working across mixed media, I combine India ink, acrylic paint, pastel, rice paper, charcoal, and an array of mark-making tools to create works that embrace experimentation and chance. My practice has evolved through a growing willingness to relinquish control, allowing curiosity and discovery to guide the creative process.
My work centers on the expressive possibilities of India ink and other materials, along with the dynamic interplay between intention and spontaneity. Through splattering, pouring, dripping, and gestural mark-making, I initiate a visual conversation with the material itself. Each piece emerges through a process of observation and response, as unexpected forms, textures, and movements reveal themselves and suggest new directions.
Rather than resisting uncertainty, I welcome it as an essential part of creation. The resulting works capture moments of transformation and discovery, inviting viewers to engage with the energy, rhythm, and organic evolution that unfold within each composition.
